Nanotech on farmers' fields. Plant nutrition studies 4
Nano-sized plant nutrients increasingly attract attention. The many scientific
studies and patent publications from the last decade reflect the growing interest
in this innovative technology. Take for instance the coated nitrogen fertilisers with crop-specific nano-sized biosensors that regulate the release of his nutrient on the crops' demand. The story about this groundbreaking plant nutrition approach is published in Nanotech on farmers' fields – a report compiling articles published in Beneficial nutrients news. Nanotech on farmers' fields also has a recently conducted quick patent scan (June 2010; > 50 original patent publications) and 5 pages with relevant literature.

Publication date: August 2010.

Ammonia volatilization from mineral fertilisers. Plant nutrition studies 2
Soil scientists from Ghent University (Belgium) have examined the potential ammonia volatilization from ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulphate, urea and urea ammonium nitrate solutions under field conditions. In this new edition of the popular study they describe the results and backgrounds of their research and advise on the fertiliser choice for different soil characteristics. Ammonia volatilization from mineral fertilisers has earlier been published in a Dutch version.
Publication date: May 2009.
