World-wide hundreds of patents covering silicon in agrochemicals are available. Some patents are related to new silicon compounds. Other patents concern new silicon formulations, new fertiliser compositions, new methods of silicon fertiliser production or silicon in crop protection. Patent literature is a unique source of information, because it reflects the search of scientists and companies for new silicon fertilisers.
